Tea is produced from the Camellia sinensis plant. When harvested the leaves, leaf buds, and internodes are all taken and processed. The type of tea being made will determine which part of the plant is used and what type of processing it will require. Though there are many types of tea in the world, the four popular types are White, Green, Oolong, and Black.
Just for clarification: “Herbal tea” contains no Camellia sinensis. Also called tisane, or ptisan.
Have a favorite tea cup? Want to show it off? E-mail it to me and I will feature it in the main header with your name and perhaps even a blog post if you so desire to talk about your cup.
In order for pictures of the cups to be posted they must be clear and editable. Meaning if its fuzzy or if there are a bunch of things in front of it... its a no go.
Feel free to e-mail me with pictures, questions or just a shout out for your love of tea here: iheartwater0@yahoo.com
